"body_md": "The Wildbirch Hotel opened in downtown Anchorage at Fourth Avenue and C Street, a 252-room property that marks a major renovation in the city's east downtown corridor. The $50 million project includes local artwork, a connected restaurant, a coffee shop and a brewery that is set to open soon.\n\nThe hotel's opening is bringing new foot traffic to a stretch of downtown that has sat largely quiet for years. Nearby businesses report seeing more walkers in the mornings since the hotel opened its doors.\n\nCity officials are betting the project will spark further investment along the corridor, which has struggled with slow redevelopment.\n\nThe renovation rebuilt the property to feel modern and local at the same time, and the coming brewery is expected to serve as another anchor keeping foot traffic moving after dark.",
