"body_md": "A Hilton Home2 Suites hotel is officially planned for the Mat-Su growth corridor, set to open in the fall of 2026 with 107 rooms. It marks the first new national hotel chain to land in the Valley in decades.\n\nFor nearby businesses, the project means more foot traffic, more overnight stays, and more weekday activity that doesn't disappear after summer ends.\n\nThat kind of investment usually shows up only when traffic, tourism, and business travel are already trending upward. Hotels don't build ahead of demand unless the numbers are penciling out years in advance.\n\nFor the Mat-Su as a whole, the project is another sign the Valley isn't just growing outward, it's growing up economically.",
