"body_md": "UIC, an Alaska Native corporation known for heavy civil work, has launched IGLU Construction, a new road accessible vertical construction company designed to expand its footprint into vertical building projects across Alaska, from Kenai to Fairbanks.\n\nIGLU focuses on projects reachable by road, filling a gap between rural construction and urban development. That gives UIC more flexibility in where and how it builds, and gives communities along the road system another contractor option for commercial and industrial projects.\n\nThe company says IGLU will support commercial, industrial, and community focused projects. It also creates another pathway for Alaska Native employment and training in the construction trades.\n\nVertical construction has been a growing need in Alaska's population centers. The expansion positions UIC to compete for more year round work across the state's construction industry.",
